Roll-off services across Onslow County

Whatever the project, a container is only useful if it's the right size, it sits level and protected on your driveway, and the debris is routed to the transfer station or the Onslow County Landfill.

How it works

Four steps, no complications

  1. Call and describe the job

Tell us the project, what's coming out, where the container will sit and when you need it. Ninety seconds and we'll size it correctly - dense old-home debris and wet wet sand fill included.

  2. Get one flat rate

Delivery, the rental period, collection and the a transfer station transfer-station disposal, plus a tonnage allowance, in a single number - with the overage rate stated up front.

  3. We place it and protect the ground

We set the container to meet the city's rules - arranging a street spot if needed - then plank under it on every delivery so it sits level on the sandy sand and your driveway is protected. No charge, and you don't have to ask.

  4. Fill it, we haul it away

Load level with the rim. Call when you're done. Every load leaves tarped and secured for the haul to the transfer station or the Onslow County Landfill, as North Carolina requires.

Why customers stay

Two things we do differently

The local rules are why you need a container. In Jacksonville, the Onslow County Recycling Center takes household recyclables, brush, tires and oil - but not the construction debris from a remodel or a clean-out, which has to go to the transfer station or the Onslow County Landfill. The City's own guidance says it plainly: for a large clean-out or remodel, contract a licensed hauler for a dumpster. And under North Carolina's open-burning rules rules you can't burn construction, demolition or commercial waste. So a real project's debris goes covered to the transfer station or the Onslow County Landfill, and as a local crew we know the routing and point the Freon appliances, tires and brush the right way.

North Carolina and Onslow County route several things carefully. Clean scrap metal and clean concrete can be recycled rather than landfilled; clean brush can go to the county recycling centers, and tires and oil route to the Onslow County centers; Jacksonville runs a household hazardous waste and e-waste drop-off on a hazardous-waste collection; and pressure-treated lumber can't be burned at all, so it goes in the container. We flag all of it early and point you to the right place.

What customers say

Homeowners and contractors across the Jacksonville area

Comments passed to our office by customers across Jacksonville and the surrounding Onslow County communities.

★★★★★

We were PCSing out of Camp Lejeune with two weeks' notice and the base housing had to be cleared. Big Jacks dropped a 20 yard on the drive next morning, one flat price, and hauled it clean to the county landfill. Jack's crew made a stressful move a whole lot easier. Semper Fi.

Framing houses out in Richlands and the Big Jacks crew keep containers swapped on schedule so we're never standing around waiting on an empty. Upfront pricing, no junk fees, and they know the Meadowview landfill run cold. Only hauler we call in Onslow County now.

Cody B.Richlands, NC
★★★★★

After the last hurricane came through we had downed limbs and ruined drywall all over the property. Dale got a 30 yard to us fast and we cleared it in one pass instead of dragging it out for weeks. These guys show up when the whole town needs them.

Questions & Answers

Dumpster rental in Jacksonville: common questions

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in Jacksonville, NC?

Every quote is one flat rate covering delivery, the rental period, collection, disposal and a tonnage allowance. Construction debris goes covered to the transfer station or the Onslow County Landfill, and that's built into the price. Call with the details for a real figure and the per-ton overage rate.

Can I take construction debris to a convenience site?

No - the Onslow County recycling centers take household recyclables, brush, tires and oil, not construction debris. That goes to the transfer station or the Onslow County Landfill, and a roll-off is the clean way to get it there. Burning it is prohibited under North Carolina's open-burning rules rules.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Jacksonville?

A container on your own driveway is straightforward - we place it to meet the city's rules. If it must sit in the street or public right-of-way, that's arranged with the City of Jacksonville first, and we handle it.

What size dumpster do I need?

It depends far more on the material than the volume. Dense debris such as plaster, tile, concrete and the wet wet sand fill reaches a weight limit before it fills the container, so a smaller box filled properly is usually cheaper. Bulky, light material such as furniture and new-build offcuts suits the larger sizes. Tell us the project.

Can you help with storm and thaw debris?

Yes - it's central to what we do in the northern Jacksonville. After a winter storm or the spring thaw we get large containers out fast so you can clear limbs, fencing and ruined contents in one pass. Brush and yard waste we haul for you, and treated wood can't be burned - so a container is often the simpler route. Demand spikes area-wide, so call early.

What can't go in the dumpster?

Household hazardous waste - paint, solvents, motor oil, antifreeze, pool chemicals - is prohibited and handled through the Jacksonville drop-off on a hazardous-waste collection on Fridays and Saturdays. Electronics go to e-waste collection, tires route to their own handling for a fee, and appliances need any Freon recovered. Everything else from a normal project goes in the box.

Will the container damage my driveway?

We plank under the rollers and rails on every delivery, at no charge, to spread the weight and protect the surface - which matters on the sandy sand ground that softens in the spring thaw.

How quickly can you deliver?

Usually next day, and often same day if a run is already heading your way, since our yard is right here in Jacksonville. Call before mid-morning for the best chance of same-day.
